Final dimensions should be confirmed from the finished floor to the finished ceiling before production. Measurements may be required at several locations because floors and ceilings are not always perfectly level.

Installation & Assembly

The Modena is a fitted furniture product and is not intended as a freestanding unit.

Professional installation is required to ensure that the divider is properly aligned, securely fixed and suitable for the construction of the property.

The installer must assess the appropriate fixing method for the:

• Floor
• Ceiling
• Adjacent walls
• Structural framing
• Finished flooring

Fixings must be made into suitable structural material. Plasterboard alone may not provide adequate structural support unless appropriate reinforcement or specialist fixings are present.

The unit should not be used until installation has been fully completed and all structural fixings have been checked.

Underfloor Heating & Concealed Services

Where underfloor heating is installed, the location of heating pipes, electrical cables or heating elements must be established before drilling into the floor.

Customers must advise Areiva Furniture or the installer of any known:

• Underfloor heating
• Plumbing
• Electrical wiring
• Heating pipes
• Concealed services
• Unusual wall, ceiling or floor construction

Where the position of concealed services cannot be confirmed, an alternative installation method may be required.

Flooring Considerations

Installation requirements can vary depending on the finished flooring.

Suitable assessment should be carried out for:

• Tiles
• Laminate flooring
• Engineered timber
• LVT
• Hardwood flooring
• Concrete
• Other floating-floor systems

Floating floors may require particular consideration so that normal expansion and movement are not unnecessarily restricted.

Safety Information

• The Modena must be securely installed before use.
• The vertical slats are not designed for climbing, swinging or hanging from.
• Children should not be permitted to climb on the slats, cabinet or shelves.
• Shelves are intended for normal household decorative items and should not be overloaded.
• Heavy objects should not be placed on shelves unless their suitability has been confirmed.
• Do not remove, loosen or alter structural fixings after installation.
• Do not cut or modify the unit after installation without professional advice.
• The storage cabinet should not be used as seating unless that function has specifically been included in the agreed design.
• Where glass is incorporated into a selected configuration, it should be protected from excessive impact or loading.
• Any integrated electrical lighting must be installed and connected appropriately by a competent person where required.

Installation Responsibility & Liability

Because this is a made-to-measure fitted product, customers are responsible for providing accurate information regarding their property and any known concealed services.

Areiva Furniture cannot accept responsibility for damage or installation difficulties resulting from:

• Incorrect measurements supplied by the customer
• Undisclosed underfloor heating
• Undisclosed pipes or electrical cables
• Unsuitable structural surfaces
• Existing defects within walls, floors or ceilings
• Movement or failure of existing flooring
• Installation or alteration by an unauthorised third party
• Misuse, overloading or climbing
• Modifications made after installation

Where Areiva Furniture carries out the site measurement and installation, responsibility will be assessed according to the agreed scope of work and the site conditions reasonably visible or disclosed at the time of survey.

Warranty

The Modena is covered against manufacturing defects in accordance with the applicable Areiva Furniture warranty supplied with the order.

Warranty cover does not normally extend to damage resulting from:

• Incorrect or third-party installation
• Accidental damage
• Misuse or excessive loading
• Climbing or hanging from the unit
• Water or moisture damage
• Building movement or settlement
• Damage caused by existing flooring, walls or ceilings
• Unauthorised modifications
• Normal wear and tear
• Failure to disclose underfloor heating or concealed services

Any warranty provided is in addition to and does not affect your statutory consumer rights.

Care & Maintenance

Clean using a soft, lightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals and excessive moisture.

Do not allow standing water to remain on timber-effect surfaces.

Periodically check that the unit remains secure, particularly where it is installed in high-traffic areas.
